R-101 Airship

Construction of British airship R-101 was completed in 1929. After test flights and having her lifting volume increased she crashed on her maiden voyage on October 5, 1930 ending they use of airships by the British. Sadly her sister ship R100 was later sold for scrap metal.

Things don't exist with out a name. And since our brains work in images, things to a lesser degree don't exist without a image. Thus.... The new logo.

Second Life Group

New Second Life group - Inglewood Airships.

Mostly a update group for my little airship builds. But I thought also a handy way for fellow airship geeks to meetup and stay in contact with one another. Did I mention freebies? Gots to love the freebies.

Hey, if nothing else give it a look for the nifty tags I came up with. Ever wanted to be one of the following?
  • Aeronaut
  • Airship Ballast
  • Airship Gypsy - Thanks Cayce!
  • Airship Pirate---Argh!
  • Pirateer--- same as above but with less social complications.
  • Airship Cannon Fodder - Hey! We can't all be Captain!
  • Airship Geek
  • Spunky Sidekick
I know, I know...those tags alone are worth joining. Once again Inglewood Airships-free-fellow airship geeks-free stuff. Go!

Cross post from Aether Chronicles from a few months ago. Video of myself building my first airship. And for the record. I'm still asking "what does this button do?".
